The artist, his father, and grandfather have engaged in bamboo crafts
as a family tradition relying on a traditional production method.
However, Ushu in particular has assiduously engaged in researching the manufacture
of Chinese style bamboo products.
His basketry is distributed exclusively to tea ceremony schools in Japan.
